I am officially done taking pills. Oh, wait, you didn’t know I was taking pills, did you? Yeah. I’m a slacker with this little blog. I fully admit it.
So, the pills. (does that count as a sentence?) About 2-1/2 weeks ago I started getting dizzy. At random times during the day, the room would start spinning. By a few days later, I was dizzy pretty much on a constant basis. I finally decided to go to the doctor who determined, based on the fact that my right tonsil was bigger than my left and the dizziness was spinning in a clockwise direction, that I had a sinus infection. I had no other symptoms and since I am perpetually clogged up, I didn’t notice anything different than normal. So, I’ve been taking pills and snorting spray for 10 days. I’m somewhat better.
Today is a very cranky day for the ladies in The Office. Let’s just say, the XY population is getting on our last nerves. They’re being demanding, selfish and annoying. Typical day, really.
Le Tour is over but fear not for there will be cycling during the Olympics! If B gets to watch handball & water polo, then I get to watch cycling. (although I rather enjoy watching all 3)
I have been frantically searching for something to wear to a friend’s wedding in a little more than a week. I bought a dress and sweater (that I don’t I like) as well as ordered a skirt online only to decide to wear a different skirt that I already own. It’s on the beach and will be a little casual (not shorts/no shoes casual, unfortunately). I have yet to decide what top, if any, I will be wearing. I’m thinking of starting a new trend: topless weddings.
That’s about it for the monthly update.
However…
For Pony, the IKEA story:
Honestly there isn’t much to say now that plenty of time has passed. KO and I spent 2-1/2 hours shopping at IKEA (we both hate shopping) and were plum worn out. We headed back to the MAX to head home. The train was empty so we took up 4 seats. In hindsight, we could have somehow squeezed into 2 seat and taken up extra space on the floor with all of our stuff (we had quite a bit of stuff). The train was empty until we hit one of the bigger transit center where TONS of people were waiting. We exchanged looks because we had no way (or so we thought at the time) of consolidating our things to make room for other people to sit. Everyone files in with people starting to stand in the aisle. This man (of course) started yelling at us and demanding that we move our stuff to make room for other people. Since he was so polite, we refused. He then yelled at us some more telling us to put our stuff under the seat. Um, yeah, this isn’t an airplane dude…that doesn’t work. KO had 4 huge bags so there was no way (in all honesty) for her to move. I moved my stuff to where it still went into the other seat, but someone could at least sit down. So, his son (about 12) was able to sit. the man just glared at us the entire time – he got off a few stops later. It was ridiculous. Had he acted in a civil manner instead of an entitled one, we would have made every attempt to make room for him. So, that’s it. Just a bit of drama on the MAX. It doesn’t live up to the flip flop story. (Which, by the way, I still have not been back to that station despite it being closer to my house.)
