1. Why is it that I don’t mind it when the FedEx drivers call me darling or dear (two separate couriers), but if someone I work with called me that I’d punch them in the throat?
2. Why is it that we’re going to have a rare snowfall this weekend when it’s supposed to be SPRING and I am, coincidentally, starting my vacation?
3. Why is it I can’t remember what Pony and I talked about earlier this week, but I remember it possibly being funny?
4. Why is it that I get a small retro check after receiving an even smaller raise only to have the dryer die?
5. Why is it that the only reason I like to go to McDonald’s is to hear the person in Minnesota, or wherever (they outsource their drive-thru), say “you’re welcome” after I say “thank you?”
One week from today is our fifth wedding anniversary. We normally go on vacation during this time, but this year we are sticking close to home. We are going to visit my parents for a few days, however. Mostly we’re just going to spend the time relaxing. There are some things I would like to accomplish in the yard, but clearly that will depend on Spring showing up. Seriously, Winter, your time is over. You need to go away now. You’re not welcome anymore.
