I can’t remember what I was going to write about because someone just cooked a tv dinner and now all I can focus on is the smell. It’s a familiar smell. Probably something I had before. Strange.
My mom and stepdad visited us this weekend where we promptly put my stepdad to work: replace 4 lights, install floodlight, install outlet and install floodlight…please. He did all of the above and saved us easily several hundred dollars. It helps having a handy person/electrician in the family.
Their puppy – the one we got for them on our trip to the beach – is an adorable terror. She’s a big bundle of cuddly energy. She was a bit leery of our dogs at first, but by the second day she had warmed up to them. Every time she tried to play with Precious, though, she would end up running and hiding. Precious is still a bit to big/rough to play with her. Most of the time our dogs just ignored her presence.
Hockey season starts this Friday. I keep going back and forth between not caring and being really excited. I am looking forward to seeing all the changes in the Memorial Coliseum.
The office is extremely quiet today. It’s nice not having any of the directors around. Big Cheese is out sick today and tomorrow. Friday is our off day which means it will be quiet again. Hopefully not too many people will come in.
The office outing on the Portland Spirit was okay. It was a bit lame, but it was nice to get out of the office. I forgot my camera (and the office camera) so I used my phone to take a few pictures along the way. They’re on flickr.
That is all.
